SBA Re-Opening 18/2/2021

Dear SBA Members,

In line with the State Government announcement on Wednesday the 17th of February, all SBA domestic competitions and programs are resuming on Thursday the 18th of February.

Games in the Girls Under 10C Grade at Mentone Girls Secondary College will go ahead on Thursday the 18th of February. Fixtures will be published this afternoon (18/02/2021). Games for this weekend scheduled at Mentone Girls Secondary College will also go ahead.

Please note that for all SBA domestic games across the coming weekend and from now on:

• Masks are mandatory and to be worn at all times whilst indoors by all patrons above the age of 12 (players waiting to play need to be wearing a mask);
• Players and referees are the only exceptions to the mask wearing rule;
• Coaches need to wear masks whilst coaching;
• One spectator is permitted per player;

VJBL Update for Sabres Junior teams (17/2/2021)

Basketball Victoria is pleased to announce that the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) will return to competition on Friday 19 February. All games postponed from Friday 12 February will be played this week to maintain our grading processes. Venue density limits will apply.  

With all postponed games from Friday 12 February being played this week, all scheduled games for Friday 19 February, including the start of the VJBL Under-21 competition, will be pushed back until next week – Friday 26 February. 

We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding with the decision that was made to postpone last week.
