WWCC verification — from 5 October 2026
All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and anyone acting in those roles must hold a valid WWCC and have it available in the Service Victoria app by 5 October 2026.
SBA staff may ask you to present it before a game, which is separate to the copy that is on PlayHQ. No exemptions apply, including for registered Victorian school teachers.
For the rest of the 2026 Spring season, if you can’t present it at the venue you must not act in any official capacity until it’s validated, and your club must provide SBA with a copy within 7 working days. From the Autumn 2027 season this will be strictly enforced with no grace period. If you don’t have a smartphone you still need a valid WWCC. You can contact your club to plan how you’ll provide evidence. Adding your WWCC card to the app takes a couple of minutes.
